Julio Bruno describes himself as a global citizen: Spaniard by birth, American by choice and British by residence. In a varied and successful career across continents, Julio has led multinational companies such as Time Out Group plc, where, as CEO, he marshalled its IPO on London’s AIM in 2016. During his tenure, he led the international expansion of the famous Time Out Markets from New York to Dubai, becoming the global benchmark for premium food halls with over 10 million visitors in 2019. He also marshalled the digital transformation of the iconic Time Out media brand around the world. Julio was awarded ‘Business Leader of the Year – Consumer Media’ by Campaign UK in 2021.
Currently he is Chairman of Mercato Metropolitano, London’s first Sustainable Community Market with 5 locations in the city and expanding internationally. He is also Board Director of Pacha Group, a global entertainment and luxury hospitality platform. Prior to this, Julio held executive positions at TripAdvisor, Travelport, Regus, Energizer and Diageo. Julio founded his company, br1 creative, at the end of 2021, working with the startup community as an investor and board director, and as strategic advisor for several international companies.
